  • a $20 million recovery proceeding for business interruption and material damage arising from a defective papermaking machine at Paperlinx Ltd’s Maryvale paper mill;
  • a $15 million claim concerning business interruption and material damage arising from a fire at Johnson Matthey’s gold refinery in Thomastown;
  • defending 6 concurrent Supreme Court proceedings for a Lloyds’ of London Syndicate for economic loss in excess of $20 million arising from the collapse of the Corio Overpass in Geelong. These proceedings also involved a claim for damages arising from the death of a worker in the incident and 3 further claims for damages by injured workers;
  • defending a claim for breach of various lease covenants and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations arising from asbestos contamination of commercial premises; and
  • a product recall claim involving the recall of Arnott’s Snackfoods’ potato chips due to undeclared allergens in the product.
